The Boys & Girls Club of the Eastern Panhandle strives to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. We do this by providing quality after school, summer and other programming to keep young people engaged in learning and character development.
ABOUT US
The Boys & Girls Club of the Eastern Panhandle started with a simple goal in mind: to provide a positive recreational outlet for boys during the after-school hours. Nearly 60 years later, we’ve grown from one facility to clubs in three counties with five additional school sites serving over 800 boys and girls in the Eastern Panhandle.

From the humble beginnings of a swim and gym program, the Boys & Girls Club of the Eastern Panhandle has evolved into a well-rounded program that builds confident and successful adults. Many of our alumni have achieved great futures. We welcome you to stop into one of our clubs today and take the tour, because great futures start here.

Youth of the year: Amelia Addison
Amelia Addison is our 2026 Youth of the Year and represented West Virginia Boys & Girls Clubs in Chicago in June. Amelia has been a member of the Jefferson County Club for the past three years. Her Club experience began as an opportunity to sing with our younger members in preparation for a community event. Her love for music was stifled during the early part of COVID while students were engaged in online learning. Volunteering at the Club and forming friendships with the staff and kids gave her the confidence to pursue music again. Amelia was part of the Washington High School Color Guard, the Jazz Band, and the Chamber Choir. She auditioned and was accepted into the West Virginia American Choral Directors Association and the West Virginia Music Educators Association. Additionally, Amelia is a member of the Honor Society and graduated in May with honors from Washington High School. Amelia will further her education at the University of North Carolina Wilmington where she will major in Biology with a minor in dog assistance training.
